Solid Rock Church of God in Christ was founded in 1998 by Superintendent Jerald K. Simpkins Sr., Pastor, with his wife Evangelist Shelia A. Simpkins.  Solid Rock is a part of the Church of God In Christ, Inc. headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, and is in service in California under the Nor Cal Metropolitian Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction in the Sweet Unity District of Church of God In Christ.
